ORDER PROCESSING AND DELIVERY
Barok Fine Jewellery takes particular care in the preparation, packaging and shipment of all jewellery orders.
Delivery and preparation times vary depending on the product, availability and destination. For items available in stock, the estimated delivery timeframe will be indicated or communicated in connection with the order.
Made-to-order, personalised, resized, engraved, altered, specially manufactured or specially sourced jewellery may require a longer production and delivery period, which may exceed 30 days. Where applicable, the estimated production and/or delivery timeframe will be indicated or communicated to the customer and agreed in connection with the order.
Where a delivery period exceeding 30 days has been expressly agreed with the customer, that agreed delivery period shall apply.
Where no different delivery period has been agreed, delivery will take place without undue delay and no later than 30 days after conclusion of the contract, in accordance with applicable consumer law.
Production and delivery dates stated as estimates are approximate unless a specific date or delivery period has been expressly agreed as binding.
SECURE AND INSURED SHIPPING
Due to the nature and value of our jewellery, all orders are carefully packaged and sent using secure, tracked and adequately insured delivery services. Orders remain insured during transit until delivery in accordance with the terms of the applicable shipping and insurance service.
Barok Fine Jewellery reserves the right to select the appropriate carrier and shipping method according to the value, destination and characteristics of the order.
For security reasons, certain shipment or tracking information may only be provided when appropriate.
DELIVERY AND TRANSFER OF RISK
Where the carrier is arranged by Barok Fine Jewellery, the risk of loss or damage remains with Barok Fine Jewellery until the customer, or a third party designated by the customer other than the carrier, acquires physical possession of the goods.
Where the customer independently commissions a carrier that was not offered by Barok Fine Jewellery, the transfer of risk will be governed by applicable law.
SIGNATURE AND IDENTIFICATION
For security reasons, a signature and/or identification may be required upon delivery, particularly for high-value orders.
The carrier may refuse to leave high-value jewellery unattended or in an unsecured location.
Where appropriate, delivery to parcel lockers, collection points, neighbours or other alternative locations may be restricted for security or insurance reasons.
DELIVERY ADDRESS
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery information when placing an order.
If an address needs to be changed after an order has been placed, the customer should contact Barok Fine Jewellery as soon as possible.
For security, fraud-prevention and insurance reasons, we may be unable to change the delivery address once an order has been processed or dispatched.
Barok Fine Jewellery may carry out reasonable verification procedures before dispatching high-value orders.
DELIVERY ATTEMPTS AND UNDELIVERABLE ORDERS
If delivery cannot be completed because no authorised person is available to receive the shipment, the carrier's applicable procedures will apply and another delivery attempt or secure collection may be arranged.
Customers should follow the carrier's instructions regarding subsequent delivery attempts or collection.
Where an order is returned to Barok Fine Jewellery because of an incorrect or incomplete address supplied by the customer, repeated unsuccessful delivery attempts, or the customer's failure to collect the shipment, we will contact the customer to arrange the appropriate next steps. Any additional shipping costs may be charged to the customer where permitted by applicable law and where the circumstances giving rise to those costs are attributable to the customer.
DAMAGED, OPENED OR TAMPERED PACKAGES
Customers are encouraged to inspect the external condition of the parcel at the time of delivery.
If a parcel appears damaged, opened or tampered with, the customer should, where reasonably possible, note the condition with the carrier, retain the packaging, take photographs and contact Barok Fine Jewellery as soon as possible.
Prompt notification helps us investigate the matter with the carrier and insurer.
Failure to report visible damage immediately does not, by itself, remove or limit any mandatory statutory rights available to the consumer.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
International delivery availability depends on the destination, the value and nature of the jewellery, carrier and insurance restrictions, and applicable legal, customs or security requirements.
Barok Fine Jewellery reserves the right not to ship an order to a destination where secure, adequately insured or legally compliant delivery cannot reasonably be arranged.
If an accepted order cannot be shipped for such reasons, the customer will be informed and any amounts paid in respect of the affected order will be reimbursed as required by applicable law.
CUSTOMS, IMPORT DUTIES AND TAXES
For deliveries outside the European Union, customs duties, import taxes, clearance charges or other local charges may apply.
Unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout or in the order confirmation, such charges are not included in the product or shipping price and are the responsibility of the recipient to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Customers are responsible for providing any information reasonably required by customs authorities or the carrier for customs clearance.
Customs procedures may cause delays outside the reasonable control of Barok Fine Jewellery.
DELIVERY DELAYS
Barok Fine Jewellery will make reasonable efforts to deliver orders within the stated or expressly agreed timeframe.
Delays may occasionally occur due to circumstances outside our reasonable control, including carrier disruption, customs procedures, security checks or other exceptional circumstances.
Where a delay occurs, the customer's rights will be determined in accordance with applicable consumer law.
Nothing in this Shipping Policy excludes or restricts any mandatory statutory rights available to consumers.
HIGH-VALUE ORDERS AND SECURITY CHECKS
Due to the nature of our products, Barok Fine Jewellery may carry out additional reasonable security checks before dispatching high-value orders.
We may contact the customer to verify order, payment, identity or delivery information where legally permitted and reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, payment security, shipping insurance or the protection of the customer and Barok Fine Jewellery.
Where reasonably necessary, dispatch may be delayed while such verification is completed.
RETURNS
Shipping arrangements relating to withdrawals, returns, exchanges and defective or non-conforming products are governed by our Return & Refund Policy and applicable consumer law.
Customers returning high-value jewellery should contact Barok Fine Jewellery before dispatch so that the appropriate return address and practical shipping instructions can be provided.
